What We Built Together: Embold’s 2025 Community Impact

At Embold Credit Union, community impact isn’t a side initiative or a line item in a budget—it’s part of our responsibility as a member-owned cooperative.
Every year, we’re reminded that the work we do beyond our branches only happens because of the members who choose Embold. Your membership allows us to reinvest in financial education, volunteerism, and partnerships that strengthen the places where we live, work, and raise our families.
In 2025, that collective impact added up to something our members can be incredibly proud of.
A Year of Learning, Giving, and Showing Up
This year, Embold staff spent hundreds of hours in classrooms, community spaces, nonprofits, and neighborhoods—meeting people where they are and offering support when it mattered most.
2025 Community Impact at a Glance
Financial Education & Outreach
- 3,590 students reached through financial education workshops and presentations
- 308 total hours taught, including 31 hours in Spanish, helping ensure access to financial education for more members of our community
- Workshops covered topics like budgeting, credit, debt reduction, home buying, and building financial confidence
Volunteerism & Giving
- 1,145 volunteer hours donated by Embold employees
- 115 employees volunteered, representing 86.47% of our staff
- $104,720 raised for local nonprofits and community partners
- 53 unique non-profit organizations supported throughout the year
Behind every number is a conversation, a classroom, a family, or a moment where someone felt supported.
Investing in Financial Confidence — From the Inside Out
We believe access to financial guidance should be easy to find and rooted in trust. That’s why we continue to invest in our people.
In 2025:
- 26 employees became Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors (CCUFC)
- 57 Embold employees now hold this certification
- Certified counselors are available in every branch and across most departments
This means more knowledgeable conversations, more personalized support, and more opportunities for members to build confidence in their financial decisions—whether they’re just getting started or planning what’s next.
Showing Up When It Counts
Some moments in 2025 called for extra care and connection—and our community answered.
Throughout the year, Embold ran four donation drives supporting local organizations and immediate community needs. During the holiday season, Winter Blitz helped provide a magical experience for 100+ families, reminding us all how powerful generosity can be when it’s shared.
Our staff also took on meaningful challenges in support of causes close to their hearts, including completing the 24-Hour Super Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Oregon—an effort that speaks to the passion and commitment our team brings to giving back.
Beyond events and drives, many Embold employees serve in board and volunteer leadership roles, helping guide and strengthen organizations like:
- Project 48
- JoyRx
- Clackamas Service Center
- GiGi’s Playhouse
- Arthritis National Research Foundation
- And more
A Cooperative Model That Works
Everything shared here reflects the power of the cooperative model.
When you bank with Embold, you’re choosing a credit union that reinvests in people—not profits. Your membership supports education, nonprofit partnerships, volunteerism, and financial guidance that strengthens our entire community.
