Community Impact
Boldly uplifting the communities where we work and live.
At Embold, community impact isn’t just what we give—it’s how we show up. From teaching real-life money skills to volunteering with local partners, we’re committed to helping our members and neighbors build stability, confidence, and opportunity.
Where We Focus
To create meaningful impact, we focus on two core commitments.
Financial Empowerment
This is where Embold leads—through funding, staff expertise, and hands-on support. We prioritize partnerships that allow our team to deliver direct financial education, coaching, and counseling.
How we show up:
- Financial literacy workshops for all ages
- Drop-in financial counseling and coaching
- Credit-building and budgeting education
- Support for renters, homeowners, job seekers, and small businesses
- Workplace financial wellness for local employers
- Programs available in English and Spanish
When people understand money, they gain options—and options change everything.
Community Wellbeing
We support partners that help meet essential needs and strengthen stability, with a focus on hands-on volunteerism and community engagement.
How we show up:
- Food pantries and meal delivery programs
- Emergency shelter and affordable housing initiatives
- Free or low-cost health and dental clinics
- Clothing closets and hygiene supplies
- Youth mentorship and readiness programs
- Volunteer efforts that directly serve local families
Supporting basic needs helps people breathe—and build.
Financial Education & Wellness Programs
At Embold, financial education isn’t one-size-fits-all. We offer practical, real-world programs designed to meet people where they are—whether they’re students just starting out, adults looking for guidance, or organizations wanting to support their teams.
We partner with local schools and community organizations to help young people build money skills they’ll use for a lifetime. Our workshops cover topics like budgeting, credit, banking basics, and planning for life after graduation.
Each year, Embold volunteers teach thousands of students across our service area, with classes offered in both English and Spanish. We focus on interactive, real-life lessons that help students feel confident making smart financial decisions.
We host monthly free online financial wellness workshops that are open to anyone in the community. These sessions are designed to be practical, approachable, and relevant to everyday life.
In addition to our these online workshops, we partner directly with:
- Local businesses to provide financial education for employees
- Local real estate agencies to provide financial education to first-time buyers
- Nonprofits and community organizations to support the people they serve
- Schools (universities, local community colleges, and more), workforce programs, and community groups looking for tailored financial education
Every workshop we deliver is fully customized to the audience, because what matters to a first-time renter is different from what matters to a small business owner or a new parent.
Common workshop topics include:
- Budgeting and saving
- Building and repairing credit
- Paying off debt
- Homebuying readiness
- Protecting yourself from fraud
- Money management during life transitions
Whether online, in-person, or at your workplace, we’ll build a program that fits your needs.
Request a WorkshopSometimes people need more than a class—they need one-on-one support. That’s where our Financial Counseling program comes in.
Embold’s certified financial counselors offer free, personalized guidance to help individuals work through real-life financial challenges and goals. These sessions can help with things like:
- Creating a realistic budget
- Developing a plan to pay down debt
- Understanding credit reports and scores
- Preparing for major financial milestones
- Building healthy money habits
We bring this service directly into the community by offering drop-in counseling sessions for:
- Employers and their teams
- Nonprofit partners and the people they serve
- Community events and resource fairs
Our goal is simple: to meet people where they are and help them take the next step forward with confidence.

Community impact happens one class, one volunteer hour, and one conversation at a time. Here’s a snapshot of what Embold team members accomplished together in 2025.
Our Partners in Action
Strong communities are built through strong partnerships. Embold works alongside local organizations that share our commitment to financial empowerment and community wellbeing. These collaborations allow our team to deliver education, volunteer time, and hands-on support where it’s needed most.

P48
Our partnership with P48 focuses on supporting youth in foster care through practical financial education, workforce readiness, and hands-on community support. Embold team members teach quarterly life skills workshops, volunteer at events, and help provide essential resources that prepare young people for independence. This collaboration reflects our commitment to financial empowerment and community wellbeing.

Clackamas Service Center
We’re committed to supporting Clackamas Service Center by pledging financial support and many hours of volunteering by delivering Food Boxes to those in need. This contribution is vital for the service center, which provides essential services to those in need within Clackamas County and its surrounding areas. Clackamas Service Center offers a wide range of services including meals, grocery boxes, medical services, mail services, showers, laundry, and more, benefiting over 3,000 households each month.

Unidos Bridging Community
Unidos Bridging Community is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable community by supporting the integration and participation of the Hispanic community in Yamhill County. Our partnership with Unidos focuses on advocacy, education, and community engagement to empower the Hispanic community with the tools and resources necessary to thrive and achieve their financial dreams.

Special Olympics Oregon
We’re proud, long-time supporters of Special Olympics Oregon. From fundraising to volunteering, our team shows up year after year to support athletes and families, promote inclusion, and strengthen community connection. This partnership reflects our belief that everyone deserves opportunity, belonging, and encouragement.
