2024 Annual Meeting and Nominations Notice

road with trees

We are excited to announce that our 2024 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 6:00 pm. This pivotal gathering of our members will take place at our headquarters at 15099 SE McLoughlin Boulevard in Oak Grove. For those who cannot join in person, we are pleased to offer a live broadcast via Zoom webinar, ensuring you can be part of this event from anywhere. Full event details will be available on the events page at www.emboldcu.org/events.

As we approach this significant event, we want to acknowledge the dedicated individuals who help steer our course. Our Incumbent Board Chair, Michael Fraser, has a commendable 45-year history in non-profit and public district health care administration. His leadership roles have spanned from CEO positions at multiple hospitals to valuable consulting work. Michael’s commitment extends into community service with the Rotary Club of Lake Oswego and board memberships across various health and hospital associations.

Keith Galitz, our Incumbent Secretary, brings a wealth of knowledge from the telecommunications realm, with 36 years under his belt, including leadership positions like President and CEO of Canby Telecom & Mount Angel Telephone (now DirectLink). Keith’s broad experience in both business and community service, including his involvement with the Rotary Club of Canby and George Fox University, has been instrumental in our success.

You may petition to have your name added to the slate of candidates. To do so you must file an official petition for nomination with the Secretary of the Embold Credit Union Board of Directors by 5:00pm on April 11, 2024. A successful petition must be signed by at least 1% of the membership (356 members). To obtain a petition form, send an email request to secretary@emboldcu.org, or a written request to:

Embold Credit Union
Secretary of the Board
PO Box 2020

If there is ultimately only one nominee for each vacant position, an election will not be held, and the nominated candidates will be elected by acclamation. There will be no nominations from the floor.

We’re proud of the strides we’ve made and the direction we’re headed. The Annual Meeting is more than a formality; it’s a celebration of our community’s unity and an opportunity to look forward to our collective future. We’re committed to transparency, growth, and the continued success of our credit union.

We’re looking forward to your participation. Let’s continue to grow and prosper together.

Sincerely,
Embold Credit Union
